Joe Diffie was born and raised in Oklahoma, where he was immersed in music from a young age. His first public performance came in his aunt's country band when he was only four. Career highlights for Joe Diffie include 12 #1 Hits, over 20 top 10 hits, two platinum albums, 2 gold albums, a CMA with George Jones, a Grammy, and the Humanitarian Award. His lists of hits includes Prop Me Up Beside The Jukebox (If I Die), Bigger Than The Beatles, Pickup Man, John Deere Green, Tougher Than Nails, Honky Tonk Attitude, Third Rock From The Sun, Ships That Don't Come In, A Night to Remember and more. Dakota Rain

There's country...Then there's Dakota Rain Country!

This band has proven time and time again it has what it takes to do country music justice...and then some. Want proof of it? Well, Dakota Rain was good enough to open up for country superstars George Jones, Daryl Worley, Jeff Bates and David Lee Murphy. All of which gave awesome reviews of Dakota Rain's performance on their concert ticket. Just in case that's not enough, Dakota Rain opened up for Restless Heart where the promoter of that show said Dakota Rain did not take a backseat to that powerhouse group with a slew of hits.

When Sherie‚ Austin came to town, Dakota Rain was there opening up for that female country sensation, and the show was a total success. For a group that's only been together for seven years, the resume so far is impressive and it's getting better all the time. Dakota Rain highlights it's performances with a mix of cover country tunes, southern rock, and Dakota Rain's own original music. One of Dakota Rain's original tunes "Woman Behind The Man" has done very well. Radio station "The Big 95.7 WKML" a 100,000 watt North Carolina country powerhouse is now playing the song in regular rotation, and the song is being considered for air play by a number of other country stations across North and South Carolina. This is proof that Dakota Rain can produce it's own music and own style instead of just being a cover band. Dakota Rain continues to gain popularity in new areas everyday.
